Australia’s favourite gelato ice cream company, Messina started as a small family business in 2002 and now serves salivating ice cream lovers across Australia.
Messina have always been focused on improving their sustainability practices and looking for ways to reduce the company’s impact on the environment. From setting up their own farms to seeking out the best recyclable packaging options, minimising the company’s environmental footprint has been a key priority.
Aiming to keep production as close to home as possible, Messina were looking for a local company to provide them with sustainable packaging that would match their core values of quality products and eco-conscious practices.

Pinnacle brought years of experience in food service, attention to detail and knowledge of sustainability to create efficient gelato packaging that fits Messina’s unique brand.
With both practical efficiency and powerful design as Pinnacle’s key production principles, the team went to work with Messina to design reusable tubs and cups to both store the product effectively and serve their ice cream lovers efficiently. As a freezer-grade product, it was critical to create packaging for Messina that could easily travel between the factory, the freezers, the stores and into the customer’s hands and homes.
